In Loving Memory
Beverly Ann Scheuten, nee Cousens, 78, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2021,in Oxford, New Jersey.
Beverly was born in Albany, NY on November 24, 1942 and is survived by her children Janice Scheuten and Carl Scheuten and his wife Michelle, her brother Robert Cousens and 5 adoring grandchildren. Beverly was predeceased by her parents George and Ruth Cousens and her brother Donald Cousens.
Beverly worked almost all of her life at such places as Tenneco, Sears, Shop Rite and the Marcus Group. She retired at 65 and dedicated her time to help raise her grandkids. She was their babysitter, chauffeur, chef, confidant and friend. She pitched baseballs, played hide and seek, took them to practices, cheered them on at games and matches, colored, drew, laughed with them, cried at their hardships and celebrated their victories. You will never find a more loving and dedicated grandma. Beverly was the kind of woman who loved very deeply. She was known for her kindness and selflessness and most of all her fierce loyalty. Beverly gave unselfishly to anyone in need. There is no doubt that all who knew her loved her and all she knew she loved in return. She was a friend to all, a mother to many and an example of unconditional love and goodness. Our mom was a woman to be proud of. We always knew how much we were loved. We always knew that no matter what our choices or mistakes, our mom would be in our corner. She loved her grandchildren beyond measure and she lived each of her days for each one of them. She rejoiced in their differences and often spoke of how each grandchild was so different yet so very loved in his/her own way. She was our rock and our glue, and without her the world is just a little bit scarier. We will miss her laugh and her smile, her kindness and her love. Most of all, we will miss her genuine spirit and her absolute love and dedication.
Memorial services will be held privately. Condolences may be expressed on this page.
