Catherine Belcaro, a dedicated wife, cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on October 24, 2024, at the age of 88 in Livingston, NJ surrounded by family. Born on August 1, 1936, in Newark, NJ, she dedicated her life to her family and eventually once her children were old enough, she returned to the workplace as a paralegal secretary in a family law firm where she was known for her caring nature and unwavering dedication.
Catherine's loving spirit was evident in all aspects of her life. She took immense pride in her family, always placing them first. With a heart as vast as her culinary skills, she found joy in cooking for her family especially for the holidays, gathering everyone around the table for meals that felt like an endless buffet of love and laughter. Many fond memories were created during strolls along the boardwalk of Atlantic City, where she delighted in playing the slots, relishing the excitement and camaraderie it brought.
Catherine’s legacy is beautifully reflected in her family. She leaves behind her beloved sons Louis Belcaro, Andrew Belcaro, and Joseph Belcaro, along with their wives Mariella and Donna, and a lineage of grandchildren who were the focus of her pride and joy: Joseph Belcaro III, Marisa Belcaro, Cristina Belcaro, Alexa Belcaro, Lorenzo Belcaro, Frankie Belcaro, and Anthony Belcaro. Her warmth also extended to her brother Andrew DeLuca, as well as her nieces Donna, AnnMarie, and Marie and nephew William, all of whom will greatly miss her nurturing presence. Catherine shared many moments with her friends from The Enclave, The Belleville Club and The September Club where her kindness and friendship created bonds that will resonate in their hearts.
She joins her loving husband of 50 years, Joseph Belcaro and her youngest son Anthony as well as her parents Andrew and Elizabeth DeLuca in eternal rest. Though she has departed from this world, her spirit of care, hard work, and generosity will be forever remembered.
