~~Dolly Davis 74
Dolly passed away peacefully at home.
Dolly was born in 1942 in Upper Marlboro, Maryland where she grew up on the family farm and developed her love of animals. Later she attended American University where she studied to be a registered nurse. After college, she met her husband the love of her life Bruce. They married in 1968 and had two beautiful children David and Kellie. Dolly had a true passion for animals. She especially loved her two horses. She looked forward to seeing them and caring for them each and every day. Her love was so fond, that she developed a horse blanket business. Dolly would travel to all different barns to pick up and drop off her blankets, enjoying the people and animals she met along the way. Dolly also enjoyed spending weekends with her family at their house at the Jersey Shore. She welcomed many into their home always wanting to share conversations, laughs and good times. Dolly would always be the first to cook meals for the many young adults that "moved in" for the weekends. Dolly was most proud of her children and grandkids and looked forward to every minute with them. She enjoyed spending time with them and learning about their interests too.
As her illness progressed, Dolly need more care and support. Dolly and the family was so very fortunate to have come across Pearl. Pearl felt like family. She took care of Dolly this past year and a half and the family can't be more grateful. Pearl and Dolly shared many good times together.
Dolly is now in a place where she can enjoy time with Bruce. She can go horse back riding again and have all the pets she wants too. Dolly will be missed but her love will carry on in all who knew her.
Dolly is predeceased by her parents Edward and Myrtle Danenhower and her husband Bruce Davis. Dolly is survived by her son David Davis and his wife Laurie Davis, their children Jacob, Julie and Jenna. Also her daughter Kellie Czajkowski and her partner Brian, her two kids Evan and Kolbie Czajkowski.
