Edmond D. Centuori, 67-year-old longtime Bloomfield resident, passed away peacefully on the morning of August 5, 2023 at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. Born in 1956 to Italian parents Janet and Edmond Centuori, Edmond learned early in life the value of hard work. He graduated from Bloomfield High School and went on to own his own moving company, A-1 American Moving Inc., for more than 30 years. He worked hard to support his family, and without hesitation he always helped out a friend or family member in times of need. He had a deep appreciation for good food and enjoyed cooking delicious meals for his family. His painfully slow driving reflected his outlook on life: sit back, enjoy life, and take it all in. Although he had his health struggles later in life, he appreciated a good movie, weekly meals with his children, rooting for the NY Yankees, cracking corny dad jokes, and playing practical jokes. He was not too proud to laugh at himself. He was honest and kind to everyone he cared about. His good-natured and hardworking personality lives on in his sister, Jeanine Centuori-Rock, his two children, Cassandra (Centuori) Meola & Michael Centuori, and grandson Nicholas Meola. Edmond was preceded in death by his father Edmond Centuori and mother Janet (Galati) Centuori.
