Florence "Flo" DeFalco
Loving wife, mother and grandmother
Florence DeFalco passed away on Thursday, June 18th, 2015 at Mountainside hospital.
Florence grew up in Montclair N.J, graduated from Montclair H.S and soon after married her loving and devoted husband Joe with whom she has been married for 58 years.
Florence worked various jobs throughout her life but the most important to her was that of a wife and mother. In her younger years, you could always find Florence at the Jersey shore, she loved the beach and walking the boardwalks at night. Florence could always be found every Sunday in her kitchen making her famous Sunday Gravy. Everyone was always invited to come in for a dish of macaroni and meatballs. Her door was always open.
Florence is survived by her loving husband Joe, her beloved and only daughter Cheryl and her son-in-law Richard Jones and her two grandchildren Bryan and Kari-Lynn Jones with whom she cherished every moment and always brightened her days. She was also predeceased by her brother Joseph Nicastro and surviving are her brothers Mario, Ralph, and Vincent Nicastro. Florence will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Visiting will be on Monday, June 22, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Halpin-Bitecola Brookdale Funeral & Cremation Service, 1284 Broad St. in Bloomfield, N.J. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday June 23, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.
