Frank Armando

Frank W. Armando of Bloomfield passed away on Wednesday July 23, 2014 at the age of 72. Visitation will be at Frank Halpin's Brookdale Funeral Home, 1284 Broad Street, Bloomfield on Sunday from 2 - 6 p.m. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday day at 8:00 am followed by the Funeral Liturgy in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Avenue, Bloomfield at 9:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Mr. Armando was born in Montclair and had lived most of his life in Bloomfield. Frank was an excavating contractor with his family business, Armando Top Soil Company of Clifton. He was an avid sports fan with the Yankees and Jets as his favorite teams. Frank was a man of faith who enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending quality time with his family. He is the beloved husband for 48 years to Shirley A. (nee Talamini) Armando; devoted father of Gary N. Armando & his wife Diana and Frank J. Armando & his wife Arlene; brother of Carolyn (Tisa) Dragos, Richard Armando, the late Marianne Russell and the late Darlene Bassi; grandfather of Krystle, Kayla, Karina, Gavin, Ava and Dean; great-grandfather of Santino.
