Henry J. Schrader, Jr., born on July 21, 1948, in Newark, New Jersey, passed away in his Belleville home on December 23, 2024. He was a dedicated accountant for PSE&G for 25 years, where his hard work and professionalism were greatly respected by his colleagues.
Henry was a man of deep faith, having been a lifelong member of St. Thomas Church. His commitment to the church began in his youth, where he served as an altar server and continued as an usher in adulthood. This strong connection to his faith and community was a proud testament to his character.
In addition to his professional life, Henry enjoyed a rich tapestry of hobbies and interests. He had a passion for musicals and concerts, indulging in the arts that brought joy to his life. His love for travel led him to Hawaii on fourteen memorable trips, where he experienced the beauty and culture of the islands. He also had a fondness for enjoying a pint of Guinness, embracing the moments of relaxation and enjoyment in life.
Henry is survived by his beloved wife, Lo-Lita Schrader; his sister, Christine Esposito; and dear cousins, Denise and Joe Pitrone, and George and Vera Dugan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Gertrude Schrader, who instilled in him strong values and a sense of purpose that he carried throughout his life.
Visitation will be held on January 2, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Halpin-Bitecola-Brookdale Funeral & Cremation Services in Bloomfield, NJ. A Mass celebrating Henry's life will take place the following day, January 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, followed by interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair, NJ at 11:15 AM.
Henry J. Schrader, Jr. will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and unwavering faith. His legacy endures through the lives he touched and the memories cherished by his family and friends.
