John Keith Murphy

On Friday, May 28, 2021, John Keith Murphy (“the Murph”) of Bloomfield passed away unexpectedly at Mountainside Hospital at the age of 66. John graduated from Bloomfield High School and William Paterson University. He led an adventurous life, and his jobs were varied (ranch hand, paralegal, courthouse night watchman, USPS among others). He was a born storyteller and artist, and his real loves were literature, music, and Ireland (his visit in 2017 was one of the highlights of his life). John was predeceased by his parents John Patrick and Helen Murphy and his beloved older brother Neil. He is survived by his siblings Colin Murphy, Joan Wynne, and Eileen Weber as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
