Margaret Immermann

Margaret Immermann passed away peacefully at home in Bloomfield, NJ on September 15, 2016 with her family around her. She was 89 years old. She will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by those she leaves behind, most of all her husband of 63 years, Fred, as well as her five children - Rick, Jill, Susan, Greta, and Janet; their spouses - Ann, Bob, John, and Elchi; and her eleven grandchildren – Eric, Alex, Joshua, Johanna, Jeremy, Adam, Kate, Jessica, Margaret, Zarin, and Gus. She loved children and enjoyed her own and her grandchildren enormously. Born Margaret Hornecker, she grew up in Queens, LI, and was always very close to her parents and her sister, Annette. She and Annette sang together from an early age, and her love of music carried over into her adult life when she sang in choirs at work (MetLife in NYC) and in church for as long as her voice allowed. Margaret met Frederick Immermann while he was serving in the SeaBees; they fell in love and married after he left the service in 1953. After sixty-three years together, their love was stronger than ever. Besides making music, Margaret also loved going to the beach, dancing, and spending time with all her family. She had a very strong faith. May she be at peace now with God
