Peter Anthony DeAngelo Jr., 82, of West Orange, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2022.
Peter was a lifetime resident of New Jersey, born in 1940 in Jersey City, he lived in Hudson, Somerset, and Essex Counties. He served in the Armed Forces of the USA and was honorably discharged from the Air National Guard as a Staff Sergeant in 1965. Peter was the proud owner of Lafayette Sign Company where he worked for 50 years. He valued and respected his relationships with all the unions in his shop. Anyone who worked in the sign business wanted to work with him.
Peter was the loving father to three daughters, Michele, Lynn (Kathy), and Julie Fellouris (Andrew). He loved each of his seven grandchildren with all his heart; Nichole, Paul, Sammi, Sophia (Fellouris), Quinn, Barbara, and James (DeAngelo), and two step-grandsons, Andrew and Stephen (Fellouris) will miss him terribly. Peter was predeceased by his mother Julia (nee Regna), father Peter Sr., sister Marie and her husband Michael Barlettano, and brother Vincent. He is also survived by his former wife, Barbara Stockhoff, his sister-in-law, Sylvia DeAngelo, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
Services will be held on July 28, 2022, at Halpin-Bitecola Brookdale Funeral Home in Bloomfield, NJ. Morning Visitation 10:00 am-12:00 pm, with a service from 12:00-12:30, followed by Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington at 1:30 pm
