Richard M. Gans
Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather.
Richard M. Gans, of Hopatcong, peacefully entered into eternal life on February 17, 2016. He was 69.
Richard was born in Englewood to the late William and Bernice Gans. Rich served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army from 1968 to 1971 during the Vietnam War. He was the Supervisor of Video Tape Operations at HBO for 40 years, loved music, tinkering with electronics, and was a MR FIX IT. He always wanted to be involved in a conversation, and above all loved being with his family and friends. Richard was a truly special person that was always willing to lend a hand and do a favor for you. He was loved by many, and will be missed by all.
Rich is survived by his loving wife Joanne, their beloved children Marc and his wife, Megan of Hackettstown, Jonathan and Adrienne Gans of Hopatcong, and a granddaughter Lilly.
Friends and family are invited to the Byram Firehouse, 225 Rt. 206 in Andover, on Saturday February 20th from 12-4pm, for a memorial service, but as Richard wanted, a celebration of his life and to share memories.
