Thaddeus “Teddy” Popadaniec passed away at the age of 49 after a brief illness. Teddy was born and raised in Bloomfield and had many lifelong friends in the neighborhood. Teddy’s passions included cooking for family and friends, the Seattle Seahawks and watching movies. He was an avid dog lover, raised with dogs all his life. He was loyal, loving and a faithful human being. Teddy had a huge heart and would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need. He was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Teddy leaves behind his longtime girlfriend Greer Garriton, his sister Judy Popadaniec and wife Judy Montalbano; sister Karen Fazel, nephew Kyle Fazel and wife Angela. He also leaves behind his faithful friend, his Black Labrador Kole. Thaddeus has now been reunited in heaven with his parents Tadhus J. and Joan Popadaniec. He will be extremely missed by all who knew him.
Friends and family are asked to visit Halpin – Bitecola Brookdale Funeral Home, 1284 Broad Street in Bloomfield NJ, on Tuesday, August 18th, from 7 to 9pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Ave in Bloomfield, on Wednesday, August 19th, at 10:00am.
